While still expecting high standards in terms of commitment and results, they were able to coach me and show me how a business worked from the ground up. However, the management team (which I am now a part of after being promoted 3 times!) was patient, understanding, and motivating. When I started at US Ghost Adventures, I was just a wide-eyed tour guide with plenty of management experience but seemingly out of my depth when it came to a fast-paced startup and growing business. This job was a complete waste of time and even though it sounds really fun and the stories are captivating and intriguing, I would not recommend that anyone waste their time. They should really have someone from the company who's job it is to do audition tours and interviews and not leave that job to the tour guides who are also not getting paid for that time, which is likely why they dont show up. We then scheduled another time to meet for another audition and I was stood up by the tour guide with only a few minutes notice, saying she did not have time again to do my audition)Īfter 3 months I was never paid a dime for learning a 30 page script and preforming it and the local tour guide will not give me the time of day to schedule a new one because she "never has time" She showed up late for my audition, did not give me anyy time to prove to her that I could tell the stories (was only given 15 minutes to tell a script thats lasts and hour) and then told that I failed the in person audition because the stories were "too rushed and incomplete" which was not at all my fault. Then I went to audition in person with a Tour Guide. Both my auditions were accepted and positive feedback was give from coorperate. Went through an entire process of getting hired through coorperate, sending in audition videos and then a final audition of yourself giving the entire tour.
